Madeline Dembowski

Madeline began dancing at two years old and started competitively dancing at age six at Miss Tanya’s School of Dance in Fitchburg, MA. Over the years, she has won numerous scholarships through dance conventions such as Nuvo, Jump, Radix, and MONSTERS of Hip-hop. Madeline has competed in regional competitions throughout all of New England and nationally in New Jersey as well as Orlando. 

 

After graduating high school, she moved to Rochester, NY where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Dance Science as well as Communication Sciences and Disorders. She has choreographed multiple student works during her undergraduate years. She has performed in pieces by Yoshito Sakuraba and Gallim Dance Company from NYC. Madeline also performed in dances choreographed by Heather Roffe and Michelle Pritchard for the Rochester Fringe Festival Show “Human Resources”. To further her dance training, she attended the Limón Dance Company Winter Intensive in 2022. 

Madeline received a full scholarship to pursue her MFA in Dance at the University at Buffalo and accepted a role TA-ing for their undergraduate dance program. Most recently Madeline has performed in Rochester Cocktail Revival's first ever immersive performance "The Lost Generation" where she danced, acted, and sang. Her choreography was also chosen to be performed at the contemporary dance festival DancesatMUCCC 2024. 

 

Madeline has been teaching at Idols Dance Company for over a year now. Outside of teaching dance, she loves to be outside, and modeling for local photographers!
